First step: by photogrammetry.
It is the process of 2D and 3D modeling using aerial imagery on board a drone, among others, allowing precise measurements to be made.

Second step: by a topographic plan.
Make a precise 3D digital model by topographic survey to represent the terrain (Digital surface model). The combination of the first two steps, photogrammetry and topography, will allow us to :
- ✓ Generate a digital terrain model (DTM) to properly represent the ground surface (Natural topography) ;
- Generate level curves to represent terrain elevation profiles ;
- Generate a topographic profile representing the relief of a given segment.

Third step: by volumetry.
Calculation of volumes from digital models generated by steps 1 and 2 using various appropriate software such as Autodesk, Bentley, ARCGIS.
The topographic survey carried out by drone will allow you to use the photogrammetry process to generate your digital models. From this it is possible to perform your precise volumetric calculations using the software mentioned.

What to remember from these three steps: photogrammetry, topography and volumetry.
These three steps make it possible, using aerial imagery, to make a 2D and 3D representation of the surface, which allows us to clearly visualize the site, to analyze its components and to take precise measurements ( volumes, area and distance).
